A Week Detoxing at The LifeCo

I stayed at the LifeCo health retreat in Phuket last week and it was an amazing experience! I learnt so much about detoxing and cleansing, as well as health which I will be incorporating into my upcoming book.   The staff were very friendly, dedicated and helpful as they explained to me what to expect during the detox, as well as supporting me through the journey which was very challenging! We were advised that the first three days will be the toughest as our body will be cleansing and we will be experiencing numerous symptoms and have no energy. After day 3, we would have more energy as our body adjusted to detoxing.   On my first day, I was advised that I was to undergo the Master Detox Program which is basically juicing for a week with no food. I was nervous and slightly apprehensive as I thought that I’d struggle and die without food for so long! I envisioned myself on starvation mode,...

My Experience with Acupuncture

I’m a huge advocate for acupuncture as I love it, even though I’m scared of needles and avoid them at all cost! It usually hurts a bit when they put the needle into your skin but once it’s in, you don’t feel it (unless they put it in really deep). It also relaxes you and if you’re lucky, you may even fall asleep during the treatment. I usually feel lighter and less pain afterwards which is great. Acupuncture has healed me from becoming deaf (I was going deaf as a child) and eliminating hay fever. It has also assisted me with injuries as it sped up the recovery time, since I’m prone to shoulders, lower back, ITB and quad muscular pain. Acupuncture is awesome as it takes a holistic approach finding the root cause of the disease or illness that we are currently suffering compared to Western medicine as it only targets the symptoms but not the cause. When I had eczema,...

David Hawkins “More” Technique

I was introduced by my former boyfriend to David Hawkins “more” technique to handle pain especially when he massages me for injury. This technique was originally used for hunger, but it still works for pain as you go right into the sensation of what you are actually experiencing. Hawkins recommends that you go to where you are experiencing it (e.g. hunger or pain) without labelling it, naming it, or calling it anything. You just experience it and begin to let go of resisting those sensations. In letting go of the resistance, we can move up to a higher level, if we are willing to choose it, and say to ourselves “I want more of whatever that is”. The reason for that and the way it becomes acceptable is because there is a limited amount of the sensation that comes up. The mind thinks “If I don’t satisfy this, I’m going to have this feeling continuously”. That is not so because the feeling...

My Experience with Kinesiology

OMG! I had experienced the most mind blowing, heart opening and powerful healing modality for emotions out there to date which I’ve tried yesterday- kinesiology:) Kinesiololgy is muscle testing where it can mean a yes/ no or finding where there is stress in the body. Our body stores events, emotions, traumas, everything, within our body, so kinesiology is based on the premise that the body holds the answer. To navigate, a kinesiologist use muscle testing in different ways to discover the underlying meanings or emotions to resolve and deal with the patterns/ beliefs/ behaviours/ challenges/ issues/ physical/ mental/ emotional conditions in our lives. I felt immediately lighter, more energised and connected throughout the day, and I also experienced feelings of self love which I’ve never had before! My kinesiologist-Kimberley tested a spot for me, which represented success/ failure/ overwhelm. This was so true in my case as I felt like a failure and was very overwhelmed not being able to achieve the goals that I set recently. In order to...
